This is not really something that I have put too much thought into, since I am new to SMART Habit Saturday. This past week I have been trying to keep up with keeping my kitchen clean. I really need some storage cabinets in there and I think I will be a lot better. I have been trying to keep the table cleaned off.
We also started reading the Book of Morman again this week. That's a hard one for me. When I was growing up we RARELY read the scriptures and there were several years, that my family was not active in the church, that I didn't go to Primary. I didn't really learn the scripture stories as a child. So now when I read I get so confused. I guess in order to understand I just have to stick to it.... maybe I need to get a Children's Book of Mormon.

that's great to start reading your scriptures again. I need to start doing that too
I find that it helps to read and discuss the scriptures with my kids. I remember them so much more that way. When my kids were smaller they played with Legos while I read but now we read together.
Well starting a habit with SHS is a great beginning. I am always struggling here and there but I think at least ONE of my goals is becoming a habit! Just keep pluggin away! Good luck being SMART this week!

I found your blog through the Lazy Organizer and just wanted to leave a comment about the scripture reading. I, too, came from an inactive family and struggled to learn the Gospel as an adult. One thing that has helped me (and also my children), is to take a picture from the Gospel Art Picture Kit each morning and read the story that is on the back of it to my kids as they eat breakfast. I then post it on the fridge for the day. They love it and I have learned a lot this way.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I think that understanding the scriptures can be hard. The readers that the Church puts out are great! I love them as do my children. I need to get them out again for my 7 and 3 year olds. We do have the 7 year old read with us but it might help her to read a story outloud from the reader to herself or to me.
